This means that from 2017 to 2019, there are 114,000 water jet looms planned to be banned in Wujiang and Jiaxing alone. Based on a water jet loom with a daily output of more than 300 meters and an average operating rate of 80%, the initial estimate of the rate of elimination of filament fabric production capacity is about 10 billion meters.

Will the large-scale elimination of water jet looms, which are the main force in the production capacity of filament fabrics, affect the industry?

The results of a survey given to the media by the Filament Association show that environmental protection control is not to eliminate this industry, but plans to "close a batch, standardize a batch, and upgrade a batch" within three years, focusing on shutting down "unlicensed, unlicensed, unlicensed, No environmental impact assessment, no record, unauthorized new water jet looms" are low, small and scattered enterprises.

This means that the industry is regulated and improved. At present, large-scale enterprises transfer their documents to industrial parks, and sewage treatment and reclaimed water will be treated in a centralized manner. Water jet looms are the best for weaving chemical fiber filament fabrics. Models, the demand and investment will continue to grow in the future.

However, the filament industry needs to achieve 100% sewage treatment and 100% reclaimed water reuse. This technology is feasible in the future development of the industry, and requires the joint efforts of associations, local governments and enterprises. Water jet looms are not polluting equipment, and green weaving can become the symbol of the filament weaving industry.

For the textile machinery market

According to the latest ITMSS data released in June this year, the total volume of international textile machinery transactions continued to increase in 2017. Among them, the domestic water jet loom increased by 37.5% year-on-year, and the export increased by 73.16% year-on-year.

In terms of the main trading destinations of various shuttleless looms (air jet, water jet, rapier and projectile) in 2017, it is still Asia, accounting for 91% of the world's total trading volume, of which 48% are water jet looms , 31% are rapier/projectile looms, 28% are air-jet looms. Among the shuttleless looms shipped to Europe and North America, rapier and projectile looms accounted for 65% and 37%, respectively, and water jet and air-jet looms accounted for 2% and 25%, respectively.
